Refurbishment of existing commercial property
An Edwardian office building required refurbishment to attract a new tenant. A key move was to replace the existing life-expired lift and enclose it in a glass shaft to bring more daylight into the heart of the building. The work included re-roofing, providing new double-glazed timber windows, repairs to stonework and brickwork, replacing the boiler plant and renewing electrical services. The building was successfully let to a new tenant before the work was completed. Robson Warren Architects provided full architectural services including contract administration.
